Home Beautification Grants


We currently offer two Home Beautification Programs. The Homeowner Housing Small Grants program provides grants of up to $2,500 to homeowners for exterior home improvements that provide a beautification impact on the Neighbourhood. The Rental Housing Small Grants program provides grants of up to $1000 per rental property for exterior renovations that must be matched by the applicant. Applications are now available and will be accepted until 4:30 pm on April 9, 2010.

Revitalize Portage! Grants


The Portage CRC launched our Revitalize Portage! Program in the July 2009. The Revitalize Portage! program will provide funds of up to $2,500 to support short term projects in the City of Portage that bring the community together and address the priorities of the Portage CRC. Block Parties


One of our special programs under the Revitalize Portage! Grants is Neighbourhood Block Parties.  This is a great way to get to know your neighbours and have some fun.  If you are interested in holding a block party in your neighbourhood contact us for more information

Neighbourhood Renewal Fund 


The Portage la Prairie Community Revitalization Corporation provides guidance to Neighbourhoods Alive! by reviewing proposals to the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund (NRF) and providing recommendations. Organizations are encouraged to submit their proposals to us for review at least 30 days in advance of submitting them to Neighbourhoods Alive!  Our staff will work with you to strengthen your proposal by ensuring that your project meets the priorities in our community and contains all required information. NA! Intake dates are
April 15 for projects beginning between July 1st to December 30th and October 15 for projects beginning between January 1st to June 30th.
