Home Beautification Grants

Home Beautification Grant Applications 2014 Now Available!

The Deadline for applications is March 31 2014

Home Beautification Grants are made available thanks to Neighbourhoods Alive! Community Housing Improvement Initiative, funded by Manitoba Housing and Community Development.

Homeowners can apply for a grant up to a maximum of $2500 and are expected to complete the labour for the project where possible. Homeowners applying for funding must own and live in the home, the home must be located within the city limits and the gross household income must be less than $50,000.

Grants are also available for Rental Property Owners. The property must be located within the city limits and the rent charged for the units must not exceed Median Market Rents. The rental program offers a grant of up to $1000 per unit (maximum of 3 units per landlord) and the owner is required to match the grant amount.

Revitalize Portage! Grants
The Revitalize Portage! program will provide funds of up to $5,000 to support short term projects in the City of Portage that bring the community together and address the priorities identified by the community and PCRC.
Note that funding is limited so please apply early!

Neighbourhood Renewal Fund 

The Portage la Prairie Community Revitalization Corporation provides guidance to Neighbourhoods Alive! by reviewing proposals to the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund (NRF) and providing recommendations. Organizations are encouraged to submit their proposals to us for review at least 30 days in advance of submitting them to Neighbourhoods Alive!  Our staff will work with you to strengthen your proposal by ensuring that your project meets the priorities in our community and contains all required information. NA! Intake dates are April 15 for projects beginning between July 1st to December 30th and October 15 for projects beginning between January 1st to June 30th.
